Don McMurchy joined Advantage Partners in 2007, following a 28-year career advising clients on a broad range of strategic and operating issues. He focuses on serving private equity clients and filling leadership roles with their portfolio companies. He brings search expertise in operations and also has responsibility for the firm’s search engagements in basic materials, capital equipment, and diversified manufacturing.

Previously, Mr. McMurchy co-founded a boutique consulting firm providing strategic advisory and interim management services. Clients included start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and private equity-owned businesses across a broad range of industrial and financial services sectors. Mr. McMurchy also led a $1 billion segment of Progressive Insurance Company’s Commercial Auto business and began his career as a consultant with Booz & Company.

Mr. McMurchy received his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
